question is on a distinguished road
Veyron: top speeds in each gear

Hi everyone. I am after some data and came across this forum, wondering if you lot may be able to help .

I am a big-big fan of the Veyron, right
back to early in its development a few years ago. I have a copy of the Mercedes Benz World Racing
game for the PC (I do not drive myself for eyesight reasons) and downloaded an add-on Vey. I learnt recently that the vehicle hits its top speed in 55.6s, yet my virtual version hits it in < 30. I am able to edit all performance parameters, including ratios, and in an attempt to increase its realism I would like to know the top speeds in each gear, which I will then be able to adjust for the game version.

Many thanks if anyone can help.

Re: Veyron: top speeds in each gear

I'm sure someone will know.

Has any magazine or statisticians verified any of the Veyron's top speed? I hear that it can do 250+ and 0-60 in 2.5 sec, but who has verified it?

Yeah, Auto Motor Und Sport is the magazine which officially tested the Veyron's top speed, 402 km/h (250mph)

They hit 100 km/h - (62 mph) in 2.5 seconds

Check here for AMS test

For a list of other top speeds for other vehicles check here

Btw, "question" i did take a good look for these numbers but have had no such luck, i'll keep looking though

Re: Veyron: top speeds in each gear

I've found the ratios from - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER

1st 3.15:1
2nd 2.25:1
3rd 1.68:1
4th 2.29:1
5th 1.07:1
6th 0.91:1
Final Drive ~7th gear: 0.75:1

but how can I convert them to the speeds? Sorry if seems a simple question - I should know something like this myself anyway...
