Re: DaSilva's First Car Well DaSilva, it is always hard to decide...So much money, you need to take the right decision... All these are very different cars (except the two Audis), so I think that you firstly should decide what you want to do with this car, what you really need. What are you really looking for in a car? Look, drive, economy, convertible? What is the most important? For instance the smart. Clearly it is my favourite car of those you mentionned. It has however a very small boot and only two seats, so is it a problem for you? On the other hand, it looks fabulous, is convertible, recent and reliable, very economical to run. The Mini, well...for me it is a very girly car, not really the car of a man. It is only my opinion however, and is a good car. Cute, 4 seats, recent, reliable. FWD, is it a real problem for you? Do you really want to drive hard enough to feel you absolutely need a RWD? FWD does not mean unsporty to drive. The Audi convertible has clearly too much kms for me. The reliabilty is not guaranted. You could have troubles with it. The Audi 90 has a lot of kms too, and is quite an old car. It looks good (even if I am not fan of the lowriding and wheels), is powerful, AWD. But it will be expensive to run with this motor, and the ride will be hard...but not so sporty, because it is an old car, I think. For me, the fact that yiou are looking for a smart as well as for an Audi 90 shows that you have not found the car you need. You should go on with your reflexion, have a look at the cars parked or running around you, and found the decisive criterias for you. What do you really want or don't want in a car?

Re: DaSilva's First Car Wow.. thanks for that reply..! Well.. First I want a cab, then I want a sporty car (S-line) it need to handle as a true sports car.. I will probably push the car sometimes, I also want a car with space and seats for my female friends. A car with all this is not a something I can solve with my poor amount of money.. The Mini cabrio is a car to dress in.. and I will not drive that car rough or modefy it.. I think ? The 90 will be modefied at once! with some new (do not know the best manufact for Audi) köni damper.. so I can drive fast around corners.. Cause this will be my "race"car ... tot. different from the mini Also the 80 Cab is a car I will just crusie inn.. I will not modfy it because it's not a race car whatever I do with it.. But it's total pimp and the right image.. The Smart is fantastic but not Audi, not manual and not spacey... hmm.. I want a sportscar cab.. Well the 90 has sunroof.. Hmm.. *think think* Norway is a country with few sunny days.. A lot of snow sometimes and not the best place to cruise on horrible roads. Also I think all Audis should have the quattro system (all fitted from factory) - so the 90 is the right car.. BTW if you think the Audi's have high milage.. HAHA welcome to Norway they sell cars gone 300 000 to same price... Norway is just not for cars.. We have oil.. that's all.. So I sent the guy in germany a mail.. I hope he understand english/Norwegian .. Wish me good luck.. I want my own car now to bang in... !! NOW! again thanks coolraoul you are a great member !Last edited by DaSilva; 10-30-2007 at 06:21 PM..

Re: DaSilva's First Car I think this is the right decision, this kind of Audis are good-looking, with big boots and 4 or 5 seats, great motor.. I think you work at Audi, don't you? Then you really should drive an Audi. Now you must find the right one. The Porsche-Audi has few kms, and is not so expensive... I think the best is if you can take an engineer with you to be sure the car you buy is the good one, but as you will drive it about 15hours long to go home, you will have plenty of time to see if everything's ok with it... Good luck!
