Flipping Today I was watching a show on TLC, in which a guy was documented in how he would purchase homes and flip them for a living. Personally I would love to do something like that because I get to construct and fix things in the house, which is something I like. He was pretty much doing everything with his friends. Didn't higher an electrician and made the house a marvel.

Re: Flipping heh, late response... but I just saw a few re-runs of this show, and I must say that I like it as well, I have always liked shows like this, contruction and refurbishing have always been a admiration of mine. I used to always watch This Old House, that was a great show, unfortunately TV has little time in my life these days, wish I could watch more shows like this.

Re: Flipping My dad does this occasionally as a hobby... Though he doesn't do work on the house like what you guys term 'flipping' as, he just buys and sells within a period of a few months. That's what flipping means here.

Re: Flipping So is 'flipping': buying a house, renovating it, and then selling it?

Re: Flipping Flipping marks the start of becoming a real estate tycoon. Some of the tycoons out there started out with flipping and after 5-10 years they were into restoring a whole block of houses and turning them into attractive villas.

Re: Flipping Flipping is sure a great way to make money, but you need a lot of money, talent and you have to be deep into constructions. Myself, i am into constructions (me and dad are civil engineers) but i lack money. And we are talking about a complete lack of money Now father, is thinking of doing his first steps in this, but he also thinks its a little late for him.
