Re: New Mercedes advertisement - R-Class / 600 Pullmann

I actually think the R-class looks pretty good. It has a very dynamic design and I like the idea behind it. The uniqness-factor is also pretty cool, if I had 4 kids and a wife to drag around I would have checked out the R-class.

You are one of the first members, that would really consider to buy a R-Class! Most of us don't really like the concept of this Merc...

Re: New Mercedes advertisement - R-Class / 600 Pullmann

How come?
There must be heeps of people wanting what the R-class offers. I even think its elegant if equipped with the right rim and color combination. I do agree that it looks quite dull without the amg apperance package.
Anyway, peace out. Im gonna wash my A160

I've driven the R-Class (R320 CDI 4Matic) and I was actually really impressed with it. For an overweight people carrier it drives pretty sporty, handles nicely and is very very comfortable. Like I said, I didn't expect this, hence I came away very impressed with the car. The '320 CDI engine has enough torque and grunt to move this car around without complaint from me (not underpowered).

I'm not crazy about the design, but I agree that if you're a family man and want a car with AWD, interior and luggage space, luxury, comfort and safety, then the R-Class is the car to get from Mercedes'. It's possibly more family oriented than a C- or E-Class T-Modell and the ML, GL and G-Classes.

Still, it's one of those MB's I have a love-hate relationship with. On the one hand I don't care much for it, on the other, it's an excellent family car for long and short distance travels and nothing can take that quality away from it.

Re: New Mercedes advertisement - R-Class / 600 Pullmann

The R-Class is not my favourite Benz, but it is a good vehicule, and does not feels "out of place" in the line-up for me. It is far from beeing ugly, too.

But I am amazed... I am actually in Berlin, and there are ads for the R-Class everywhere!!! Some are giants panels of 5 or 6 meters, in front of big houses... You see this car everywhere (on paper), just incredible. I think now, everybody here know this car!!!!

This must be one of the biggest advertising campaingn in benz' s history!!!

They really want to sell this car, and establish it in the line-up...
