Re: Developing the Audi Q7

Now, again the Audi bashing begins.

I agree, that design will be one of the most important buying factors.
You don't buy a car that you don't think looks good!

True. That's why BMWs are selling so well.
And Audis too, of course.

Would you buy a car that looks ugly to you?

Re: Developing the Audi Q7

I think we are getting a little bit off topic here with this whole "would you buy a car that is good looking or not".

This article is quite interesting.

“The Audi Q7 design process was a special challenge for our team. We had to create a product that was totally new for Audi, and bring the normally rather crude design of an SUV into harmony with Audi’s formal idiom. The kind of SUV on the market today would not have suited us.”

I know that Porsche and VW collaborated for the Tourag and the Cayenne but didn't Audi get or share some designs from it as well for the Q7?

Hussein, that's not the question at all... Of course i wouldn't buy an ugly car, but for me the DESIGN is NOT a most important thing when i buy a car... I've said that 1000 times and i won't repeat that never again! Period!

Yeah, some would say: Tycoon, if you think so, why you always 1st comment the car's design? 'Cause it's the 1st damn thing you notice/comment - the design. You don't see or know from the pics how is it; the engine, suspension, quality, safety and other MORE IMPORTANT things than the design.

This is how i think, some of you obviously disagree... But i don't care and i don't change my philosophy about that.
