2006 L.A. Auto show II

It's exciting to be an Angeleno and car enthusiast at the same time, a beautiful city littered with beautiful cars left and right no matter where you go. More exciting is that we have a second L.A. Autoshow this year, and this time we're no longer the underdog but a global player with debuts from top shelf makes. Here's a thread where we can discuss the latest news and updates on world premieres and continental debuts, as well as what we're looking forward to seeing at the show.

Boy once the auto show season gets rolling there is no break now that the L.A. auto show has been moved. Paris/Frankfurt, L.A., Tokyo, Detroit, Chicago, Geneva, and New York.......fall to spring...isn't it grand!

I think I have a pretty good idea of what debuts can be expected from the Euro makes. I'm gonna take a stab at it.

Aston Martin - Vantage Volante
BMW - E70
DaimlerChrysler - Could MB possibly be making a world premiere in L.A. If so I'd say W204 for sure
Audi - TT Roadster
Volkswagen - Passat Coupe? Tiguan ready?

As to cars I'm looking forward to seeing; hopefully Volvo will be smart and show the C30; R56 Mini Cooper, Benz CL, E70 X5, GT3/RS, R32, if Audi knows any better they'll show us the R8 since the lion share of R8's imported to the U.S. will be sold here.

Some rumours indicate Detroit, but most likely Geneva like the The Artist said.
