Re: European Car of the Year 2007 contenders announced if we look back, then we can see that actually price is what matters in this competiotion. So don't even think of any german car, or any other luxury car. They usually take the places like 2nd and 3rd. My top four for the winners are: 1. Citroen C4 2. Fiat Grande Pundo 3. Honda Civiv 4. Peugeot 207 I think the Peugeot 207 will be the winner. Mark my words! As for my favourite three, it would be 1. Audi Allroad 2. Jaguar XK 3. Mercedes CL

Re: European Car of the Year 2007 contenders announced Yeah, sportscars/coupes have never been successful at the ECOTY's, with the notable exception of the Porsche 928. I'm going to put my money on the Fiat Grande Punto. Good car as well.

Re: European Car of the Year 2007 contenders announced Citroen C6 would be a worthy winner... the Grande Punto would be keeping with the tradition, but the press has given it a rather lukewarm reception. Maybe it's time for something like the Ford S-Max to win?

Re: European Car of the Year 2007 contenders announced British journalists hate German cars and would vote for anything else (they still remember WWII?,lol), French journalists are sovinists and only vote for French cars , Italian journalists vote for Italian cars, German journalists are the minority. All that means that a German car has nearly zero chances of winning and Peugeot, Citroen , Renault and Fiat (all of them well known for making lemons) are the favorites. ![]()
