Heh, the thing is, the government's gonna increase the legal age of driving to 21... That means another what, 5 years from now? That dims all prospects of ever being able to drive soon.

I've no idea if those wing mirrors can be folded, but I daresay I'd bet my money on it.

21? That sux. No offense to the Singaporean government, but I suppose logic (to my eyes) hasn't always been their strong suit. Er, what possible purpose would this serve?

To keep recalcitrant young boy racers out of the roads.

Statistically speaking, a rising number of road accidents are caused by young drivers who just got their license and can't wait to get behind the wheel.

Yeah, there was some public discussion about this in Finland as well. There was a proposal that men would get their driving license at the age of 20 (or 21 can't remember...) but women would get it at the age 18 (as it currently is for both sexes).

Are you kidding -- you should have parked the Quattroporte right in front of the showroom, then they could see they were dealing with serious car buyers here

Once in a while my dad and I will test-drive cars (particularly new releases) and anything that interests us... But it's usually me who's the eager one to beg my dad to go.

Well, too bad we don't have the QP yet. Heh... Well to give the woman some credit, we walked into the showroom - we left the Phaeton at a carpark some distance away, so it appeared as if we were without a car. Also, Chrysler is relatively young in Singapore... It doesn't have as much resources as say, Bentley or Maserati, to afford to give a test-drive of the SRT-8 to just anyone... to quote the sales lady, 'We sell cars like the Grand Voyager and the 300C - all relatively affordable cars. The SRT-8 is for the enthusiast and certainly outprices everything we sell here.'

As for Audi, well... The RS4 wasn't a showroom model, it was owned by the boss of the dealer. I suppose he'll allow test drives as soon as he has gotten the car run-in...

Thank you.

Hey thanks for the review and YES we do appreciate your efforts. I think you provide the most test drives here on GCZ (along with a few others) and your test drives always contain pics too which is a bonus.

So keep the reviews and pics coming

The SRT8 looks superb, but I've heard that it handles like crap. When Top Gear testdrove the new 300C, they said that the american focused so much on the looks, that they forgot everything else.

Well, it's a pity I can't comment on the handling. And if they spent so much time on the looks I daresay they've wasted a dastardly amount of time.
