1000 HP and 270mph?

Barabus Sports Cars Ltd will unveil a new 270 mph car this week. The car will cost under $500,000, and offer 1000 horsepower via a 6.0 liter twin-turbo V8. The car has been in development for over ten years. 0-60 mph is rumored in the two second range. We'll keep you posted as soon as the official information is released.

Well, ok. It's an ugly kit car.

The performance sounds insane but I just can't get worked up over ham-fisted shop projects.

And I was scratching my head for a moment, wondering why would Brabus do this? Then I saw the extra "A".

well,front is,lets say,acceptable..but that rear

.So,over ten years in development?Interesting..It should be quite capable on road and track,I belive..

i think the ten years were developing the engine. the design thing must not have needed more than ten minutes.

seriously speaking, a car with such figures must look a lot better than that.

What do you expect, it's a kit car. Maybe the 6.0L V8 is a GM design of some sort, with some turbos whacked on to it. The design is just a ripoff of the Saleen S7 in the front and the body, the Zonda for the rear, and the Enzo's (or other mid-engined Ferrari) rear window - look at those vents at the side.

Even the name is a ripoff - maybe trying to ride on the coat-tails of Brabus.

Plus, where's the proof of the performance figures? Did they just do a 'computer simulation' with the engine power and the gearing? Did they worry about stuff like traction and aerodynamics? I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't.

And finally, what about things like a little comfort, luxury, build quality and safety? I doubt that's gone into it.

Ok, so I'm complaining about a kit car being like a kit car, but I know which car I'd choose between this thing and a Veyron.
