c-pillar thread

i dont know if we've had similar discussion before, but here it goes. which car (cars) do you think have the nicest c-pillar. i personally think phaeton, the new 3er and cl have c-pillar that is unbeatable in their respective classes.

Re: c-pillar thread

You basically put them in order for good to bad for me. I love the C-pillar on the 3er and somewhat on the new CL, but the A8 looks like it suffers from a big C-pillar which is what I suffer from in my car. It is horrible when I have to back out of certain spots. I cant see anything.

Good thread. brings to light how something like a C-pillar is important.

Re: c-pillar thread

the 3rd one is a phaeton tho, the reason i like it is becuz it kind of looks like the c-pillar of phantom's but it's done in a more elegent and modern way. i personally think the c-pillar of phaeton is timeless like that of the RR's. i think the picture i put here doesnt do it justice but i couldnt find better side view. so if anyone can you are welcome to do so.

Re: c-pillar thread

A great thread YoUhimER. I've always thought of such discussion and how a c-pillar could give cars a whole new look.

As for the ones u mentioned, I totally agree for the CL & Phaeton cases. As for the 3er, It is really dependant on the angle ur looking at the car from, to me all BMW's with their hofmeister kink suffer from a weak angle which is the front 3/4 angle. I've always hated that angle on BMWs.

well, C-pillars I like

New + old CL (Pic above)
Phaeton
Phantom

Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

Aston Martin Vantage V8

I ll think of more later

Re: c-pillar thread

This may become a "best side profile" type of thread...

Here are 3 cars which competed directly with each other. You all know what they are....
