| Re: Personal Big News / Big Thank You! Now is the 335 engine going to be available for the 3er sedan? I was reading that the engine would be available for the coupe MY2007, but haven't seen any mention of the sedan. |

I've seen 5ers too with the new turbo being tested. My bet is that we will see this engine in a lot of BMWs; Z4, 3er, 5er, 6er...

| Re: Personal Big News / Big Thank You! Osna, a suggestion. Just wait a little while longer to see what Benz comes up with for the new C. I've got a feeling were going to finally get a new class leader. ![]() |

Ok, cool. Maybe they will bring in the Japanese Odyssey as something else, considering how well it's doing here. Though with a bigger engine? Oh well, just speculating.. Anyhow, waiting for the new C-class might be good, at least then you'll have one more point of comparison, or at least one more factor that will help BMW dealers to reduce prices. The IS might have been good, but I suppose you've gone off that now. (I had a chance to sit in one at the Sydney Show, quite nice, but it is a little cramped in the back, about as much as the E46 3er. I was a bit annoyed because one of the Lexus hostesses kicked me out because she wanted to "show someone one of the features"; maybe she thought I was just having pictures taken in it - well, I was, but I was also seeing if the car was nice.) A 335i would be great, depending on what the drive is like. Doubt it'll be cheap though. A 330i sounds pretty fine, too! Quote:
Luckily for me my girlfriend doesn't tease me! Though maybe she doesn't know the extent of my posting here How's your wife coping with having to speak English all the time now anyway? That must make a nice change for you though, to be back in your native language country.Last edited by Snake Vargas; 10-20-2005 at 11:47 PM..

| Re: Personal Big News / Big Thank You! Well, just as much as I'm sure the new C will be a great car, I can't see myself in one. I'm turning 28 this week, and have the look and demeanor of a "finger on the pulse Mr. Hipster biz. cas. fridays smartass" kind of guy. I'm a Levi's person as opposed to a Bananna Republic person - so from a purely cultural point of view, a Benz is simply out of the question. I'd have to cut my hair, and people would think I'm some sort of IT specialist / Real-Estate hot shot... and perhaps a complete asswipe too. Even then, I'm extremely wary of 1st year product - especially when it comes to German Cars. The E90 has earned enough praise to get me in one, but I'd be even more comfortable if said car is an '07. I'm also crossing my fingers that BMW will revise the rear lights for next year's car. I'll probably lease, but the jury is still out on my final decision. In the meantime, I'm driving my Mom's brand new Scion xA, which I believe is the Toyota Yaris back in Germany. Not bad - For 15k US the car is decently equipped with a 6spk stereo w mp3 read, aux input and an iPod dock. My mother went down to the Toyota dealership last night and put 10k down on the thing! I was shocked. For her it's a perfect fit. Great milage, pretty good space and no sticker shock. |
