Re: Brand loyalty... My folks aways drove GM products which I followed for many years. My first car was a used 1950 Studebaker Champion Sedan which I paid $800 for. My first new car was a 1955 Olds Super88 Hardtop at a price of $3,450 and it was loaded. I progressed through the Olds to the Buick to the Cadillac line until my new 1977 Seville was stolen. I ordered a 1978 and refused delivery due to lousy quality. I then bought my first MB...a 1977 280E Sedan. I have driven nothing but MB since with the exception of second cars like Jags, an Acura (ugh), and some other. But my heart belongs to MB...i remember the '79 SL450 and 2-SL380's, a 240D, a 380SEL, a 300TDT, a 300TE, and the list goes on to the current S430. There is nothing like a Mercedes Benz.... ![]()

Re: Brand loyalty... At first I grew up being and MB fan but in the latest year my love for the fabolous 911 has grown so much that I have become a Porsche fan. My love started when I saw my friends fathers 911 GT2. AT first i thought it was a normal 911 but after have looked the car up on the net I quickly found out that the car was a very special one. Shortly after that I began reading post about the car in different forums and found out that the car was more or less PERFECT sport car. Eventhough Porsche cars are expensive I'll make sure that I one day before I die own a 911.

Re: Brand loyalty... Dont have brand loyalty, i simply have a love for beautiful fast cars. Love Porsches, Ferrari, Lambo, BMW, MB, Audi. And many more that i just cant remember to list... Im into beauty and power and luxury all in one package. I've owned incredible cars, in all sizes never had favoritism towards a brand. Even now, i LOVE my Cl55, but if theres another car in its class that i love, i would get that next no matter the brand like the Bentley GT Mulliner. ![]()

Re: Brand loyalty... It seems like people's pet brands seem to be passed down through the paternal side of the family. Me too. My great grandpa, grandpa, and dad all have been BMW dealers since 1974. So naturally here I am, a die hard BMW fan. I've been in just about every one so I know each of them from the bonnet to speedo. Any way thats my attatchment. Ive met bangle in Germany, toured the Dingolfing plant, and drove the one of the first Z8's. So here I am. A BMW fanatic. Thats why so many of my posts are so biased even if i do deny it!

Re: Brand loyalty... As a side note: My loyalty to my brand of choice is always likely to change w/ new concepts in engineering among many other changing factors w/ brands molding more into their ever changing shape in the face of a competitive market. I dont' think that there is anything wrong w/ this.
