Your personal record!!!!

Ok I saw this on another car forum and thought it was pretty fun. So heres my question...

What is your fastest speed you have ever been in a car?? I'll start.

140 mph- I was with a couple of friends late at night in a CLK 500. It was a huge adrenaline rush. Especially because in the U.S. the stakes are high with cops. The car was limited to this speed and wouldnt allow us to go any faster...One hell of a night, I must say.

130 mph- I did this in fact last night in our E60 M5 on the way back from dinner. When we got on the freeway my dad kind of looked around to see that it was vacant, pressed the M button, dropped the gears down from 7th at 80 mph (2000 RPM) to fourth gear at 80 mph (6000 RPM) then acclerated (using all those revs) to 130 mph in about four seconds before hitting the brakes realizing how fast he was going. The car felt like it could give so much more too.

125 mph- We did this a few years ago when the E60 was debuting and all the dealers were invited out to Germany to meet Bangle and see the new 5er. (I went to the Dingolfing plant which was awsome), Any way were equipped with a 745i that felt like its coasting easily at 125.

Re: Your personal record!!!!

Thats in the 360 Modena, and i've been in the 160's mph with my '03 CL55 as well, but no camera...

Now few years ago on my Suzuki GSX-R 750 iv'e been in the mid 180's mph on the Meadowbrook in LI very early in the morning, like about 3:00AM.

No camera then either but wouldnt be able to snap a pic even if i did at the time.

Those are the fastest speeds i personally have ever driven.

Though i dont promote this, none of this was on a track all on highways and such. Im sure anyone with track experience has been in the 200's mph or really close too it.
