Re: GCZ's Best Car of the year... wow didnt you know.. ??.. well take a look.. and no its not a clubsport .............. NEW RECORD ! The PAGANI ZONDA F better than the PORSCHE Carrera GT ! We just had the confirmation of the record lap time set by a "factory-standard" Pagani Zonda F on the legendary Nürburging track. Unofficial sources say that the fabulous Zonda F was timed at 7'32" and only a few hundredths of seconds... ahead of the 7'32"44 done by the Carrera GT. Our understanding is that the official confirmation will only be issued by the testers themselves (copyright of information). Further more, the Super-test set-up by the famous German magazine SportAuto has established that on the total of all parameters, the unmodified Zonda F got 70 points out of 70... The maximum ever achieved. This demonstrates once again the absolute superiority of the technology of Pagani Automobili - a very small company, compared to the giant German manufacturer (with so much more human and financial resources).

Re: GCZ's Best Car of the year... I can't access the information right now, but I remember there being a time of 7:28.something by Walter Röhrl. Yes, I knew of the Pagani setting that time, but I'm wondering about this other time and why some are not recognizing it. I suppose if certain people are not present at the time of the lap, then it won't be official or something.

I don't need to wait for the issue with the Pagani as I already believe that they did get that time. What do you mean by official though? I don't really know how they judge that stuff or if there is some organization that oversees record runs or something. | |

Re: GCZ's Best Car of the year... Well it has been confirmed by many sources.. but still the sport auto pagani nr is not out yet.. so thats what i meant with offical.. yeah and i ment the forum itself.. cause its the easiest way..they are driven by the same team there and they have tested more cars than any other magazine or such.. if we start to belive other times there are alot .. for example someone said that the M5 had a supertime.. dont know what it was.. but i think it was driven by the BMW test team.. so its easiest and most fair to use the sport auto times..

Re: GCZ's Best Car of the year... Coolest German Car Of The Year 2005 MERCEDES-BENZ CLS Welcome everyone to the new Four-Door Coupé segment. CLS stands for "Coupé-Like-Sedan". The logic is simple: A Four-seater, 4-door Sedan, with the shape of a 2-door Coupe. With the CLS, Mercedes proved to be a great trendsetter. Now every other manufacturer is planning its own "4-dr Coupe". The car is sales phenomenon and it's not really hard to say why...just look at it! It really is one of the most unique looking cars money can buy today. With its love or hate looks and its Coupé shape. The CLS definitely makes a statement and after a while you do get used to the looks of it. _________________________________________ Most Pointless German Car Of The Year 2005 MAYBACH 57 S As we all know, Mercedes-Benz should never bothered making small cars, such as the A and B-Class and they should leave MPVs like the R-Class, to Chrysler and Dodge. Even so, they got into their heads, they should make lower end models and MPVs for rich soccermoms in Beverly Hills. However, none of these cars, cannot beat the stupidity of a sporty limo. Sure, the Vaneo is an old A-Class based freak, that is just slightly longer, slightly taller and a lot uglier, than the an A-Class. But the Maybach 57 S is just something else! MB realized that Maybach isn't profitable as they were expecting, so they decided, the best way to make a relaxing luxurious exuberant limo more attractive, was making it really sporting with the same engine as you find, in the Mercedes S65 AMG. Damn...that doesn't make any sense at all for crying out loud! Specially, when you have the S65 AMG itself! Which it is much cheaper, it is more fun to drive, just as fast and just as comfortable.
