Oldtimers: Cars that always have that "cool" factor..

You know the cars guys; no matter how old they are they always have a very profound presence about them whenever you see them. Some cars manage to maintain good looks over time because of a very original and purposeful design. This is entierly subjective, but I'm interested to see what cars you guys come up with?

For me:
-E38 7 series sport(of the facelifted variety)
-E31 8 series
-E30 M3
-2002
-3.0 cs (I get serious chills whenver I see one of these, no way you can't hear it)
- E39 M5
-B5 RS4(there are a few roaming in the states, black one here in SoCal)
-C5 RS6
-B5 S4
-D2 S8
-W202 C36/43
-MK1V R32

Re: Oldtimers: Cars that always have that "cool" factor..

The Fiat 130 coupé - it's built like crap from nasty Soviet steel, but it is one of only a few cars from the 1970's that I would consider cool.

Bentley R-Type - a perennial favourite - one of the very greatest British cars of all time.

BTW Stutt, I agree with you about the BMW E30 M3 - that car is the essence of cool - probably my number one classic of the 1980's.

Lamborghini Miura

1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz

Re: Oldtimers: Cars that always have that "cool" factor..

Citroën CX Safari.
It was produced from 1974 to 1991 - it looks like no other car in the world - I've always had a special fondness for this quite eccentric car.

Citroën SM - another 1970's classic

Citroën DS - the predecessor to the CX from 1955 to 1975.

Re: Oldtimers: Cars that always have that "cool" factor..

I'm suprised how good these old cars look in the pictures. I just woke up and need sometime to find myself before I can find any good pictures of my favorite oldies.

Re: Oldtimers: Cars that always have that "cool" factor..

The Fiat Roberto posted made me immediately think of another forgotten coupé from the 70s - the Peugeot 504.
Other favorites of mine:

...that is, in addition to all the wonderful cars already posted.

Re: Oldtimers: Cars that always have that "cool" factor..

Here is my favorite, Dogde Viper GTS. Remember that this car cam in 1991 but the car looks so cool that it even can turn heads to day. There are really a few cars which have the same cool factor as a Viper, Dogde really created something unique.
