Out of all the uber brands, which one takes the cake? AND why?

My vote goes to /////AMG, because of the rapid fire throttle response you feel when you mash down on the accelerator. AMG cars literally liquify the enviorment they live in once they're in motion. It's an unreal experience and should be experienced at least ONCE in this lietime. Besides that, they do the nicest modifications to the cars bodywork. All of this is o' so lovely.

edit: it should be said that while I've driven both S and AMG cars, I have not yet had the oppurtunity to drive an M. I will do so in the weeks coming.

For purity I'd have to vote for BMW's Motorsport division. For what I like, a little more relaxed performance and better styling/more luxury I'd vote for AMG. I've always looked at it this way, BMW's M models are better track cars, which Mercedes' AMG builds better road cars. Audi tries to do both with the S as road cars and the RS models for the track, plus their AWD slant which really makes them "any road" cars. They're all special to me, but for the hard-core enthusiast I'd have to say Motorsport BMWs have the advantage.

ive driven both M and AMG cars.. M3 and SL55..
I love the M3.. but as you know for me apperance and design is important.. and imo AMG kills M at that part..
Plus the efforless speed gaining.. its just sick..
But in the bends no one can come close to M cars..
So its a difficult choice.. but ile go with AMG.. cause i only like 1 M car and thats the M5..
While i love the whole AMG line up more or less..

Yeah thats what puts AMG over for me too. Its the whole presentation of cars like the SLK55, CLS55 and any of the "65" models. Plus all that power, but I give the Motorsport boys credit for being better balanced on the track and offering manual trannys.

Driving a M car makes you feel like a racing driver. M cars are more involving to drive and feels more connected to the road. You want to drive and not be driven.

One thing that surprised me compared to M5 E39 is that M5 E60 feels more comfortable than the old one but still it handles better than the old one. Thats what I call progress.

"I would not trade my M5 for another E55 at this time. I'm having too much fun in the M and the only car I would replace it with is a M6. While I truly LOVE the 55K cars, I enjoy the M a wee bit more. You have to drive both extensively to know what I'm talking about."

Audi RS4 , BMW M5 and Audi S8 are my favorites in the 3 performance sedan segments so my vote goes to RS while i also like BMW's M also. AMG is my third best not cause they make bad cars but cause they don't offer class leading cars like RS4 and M5.

For me there's M division and there are other divisions, A motorsport car is not a simple update of a normal BMW with massive addition of uncontrolled power, no it's an M car, it is designed from the begining of developpement to be very sporty car with its specific engine, an ultra optimised chassis and a specific transmission and that's why M cars are so fatastic to drive, you don't need a looooooooong straight line to feel excitement, no an M car deliver pleasure in all type of roads and that's what make these cars ultimate driving machines.
