What we need now is for someone to leak the official photos of the new A4 on this board. That would bring some balance to the universe.

Actually I agree. Reason why audi rarely gets as much votes as Benz and BMW is becuase the majority of the members on this board is either bmw or mb fans.

My favourite is the Mercedes, because of everything...
My least favourite is the Honda with an Acura badge.

Re: *Little Sedan BATTLE* (C-class, A4, 3 series...)!

I dont know why people think its so odd that there are little to no votes for the japs and yanks... I mean, it is GERMANcarzone...der? The truth is all of these are great -and perhaps the industry is stronger and better than its ever been-so all we can do is take slight differences and key on those-because there is very little that seperates them.

1. 3 series: This car wins in my book because of its incredible chassis, steering feel, and powerplant line up. Its simply the best in those categories. I wouldnt argue that its the best looking here, but i would say that it does look good. Its obvious that Bangle and his boys put alot of time in designing this thing-good looking enough to make a statement-but not over done with tacky chrome arrangements and silly grills. Part of its popularity is due to its brand name-but its obvious that this thing has developed a great reputation because its been perfected generation after generation-and it would be impossible to argue that the 3 series isnt the king of this segment.

2. C class. The styling on this car is the best. Its beautiful in almost every angle-and it has grown on me immensely. The only thing that holds me back is its seemingly outdated engine line. Merc should of introduced new engines while bringing this car out to the market. You cant stand still in this segment-BMW cant either. So once Merc gets new engines that compete well with the competition I could swing favor towards it-however by that time the 3 series will have had a full on face lift-im assuming. But from the reviews ive read, its a fabulous drive, and a great package overall-a bit pricy though.

3. IS350. As much as i dont like the lexus/yota company, i will admit that this car gave the germans a bit of a worry. It handles well, it supposedly drives nice, and bigolly its fast-almost as fast as the 335i. In fact according to R&T, it pulls a 0-60 in 4.9 and a querter mile in 13.5 vs, the 3 series 5.0 and 13.4 time... not bad lexus. Of course those stats arent important but they do hint at the fact that this thing is ready to compete with the germans. The looks are ok, front is nice-back not so much, but the interior looks like cheese...

4. The A4. This is a very handsome car but its old-way too old. The engines are weak compared to the competition and the styling is bit last generation BMWish. Of course it has great quality and a great AWD system but that aint enough right now. Cant wait for the B8...

5. G35. In some ways i like this car better than the IS because its more purposeful and the handling is supposed to be a bit better, but ive heard that the transmission is terible on this thing. Im assuming they will take care of that with the upcoming G37, but who knows..

6. CTS-ive heard good things. Supposedly it has a good ride and nice driving characteristics but honestly i coudnt get excited about this car. snor...

7. The lincoln....Nice jeff .
uhhh, well this car is probably ok-i havent actually heard anything about it, but personally the styling is a bit off for my taste. New designs are leaning towards progressive while this thing mocks A4 styling (shoulder line and head lights) while adding silly chrome bits here and there. The interior is nice but oudated in more ways than one as well. This would have been a class leader a while ago-perhaps in the late 90's....

8. oh yea forgot about the acura...fwd is a disease. Im guessing the lincoln suffers from the same ailment. But this thing looks a bit worse than the Lincoln imo.

Not that the rear on the 3er is an art but the rearlights looks better on the bimmer than the infiniti. The front on the bimmer looks nicer, more aggressive.
Also the sidemirrors on the bimmers looks more elegant and nicer shape, they actually remind me of the sidemirrors on M3 E46.
Im not into wood in the interior, I rather choose aluminium or pianoblack trim than wood. Also I would choose NAV for the bimmer, the interior looks slightly better with the NAV option.

Can you honestly say that BMW is the first thing you notice in this photo?

In my opinion the Infiniti makes the 3 series look so plain in that photo. Oh yes, you can get wood interior in the G35.

Difficult to say when the G35 ahead of the 3er. Side by side would be better, I think. BUT, I would probably notice the G35 first because there are plenty of 3-series in Sweden and zero G35's in Sweden.

PS, you know there is a new Infiniti G37, is there a reason why the G37 isnt in the poll`?

(All trims included)

So this thread includes everything under the G35 catagory. Same goes for the 3 series coupe. It is included in the poll.

Re: *Little Sedan BATTLE* (C-class, A4, 3 series...)!

1.C-class .... Which I voted for .
2.3series .... Wonderfull car , i love it
3.Audi A4 .... Eventhough its dated , its still a German perfection machine ...

Well what can I say , they really pushed the bar a bit further with this new C , as I expected ofcourse , ever since lately , when they launched the S and CL , and the facelifted E-class , MB has done alot of homework , which makes me thrilled .... The C-class for the first time is on top of the pack ....

Re: *Little Sedan BATTLE* (C-class, A4, 3 series...)!

The Merc C-Class is garnering some rather favourable press. David Vivian in this month's evo gave the new C350 Avantgarde (Sport in UK market) 4 and a half stars. That's a pretty impressive rating for a non-AMG badged Merc. Can't wait to see what that C63 is all about...

So it's neck and neck between the 3er and C-Class with the very good but long-in-the-tooth A4 coming in at 3rd with 14%. You'd be hard pressed to find a more accurate and globally representative poll outcome.

What a great poll.
