Re: *Little Sedan BATTLE* (C-class, A4, 3 series...)! I am just surprised how badly the Lexus IS is doing on this poll. Its got only 1 out of 54 votes till now. The Lexus is known better around the world than some of the other options mentioned here so its a bit surprising that there aren't many takers for this... I also think it sends a message that the class leaders in this section are still the Merc, BMW and the Audi...

Re: *Little Sedan BATTLE* (C-class, A4, 3 series...)! Well, this forum is called German Car Zone. We have seen this many times before, people are always voting for their favorite make. I'm sure the IS would get a lot of 2nd votes but there isn't an option for that so...

Re: *Little Sedan BATTLE* (C-class, A4, 3 series...)! As you all know I am a fan of Huge sedans like the Bentley Arnage, S-class and so on. This segment is something that I do not often consider. It is my belief that every single one of these cars offer some different level of originality. They are all beautiful in their own ways. Several of these models have recently been introduced in the past two years. Here is my rating from lowest to highest(of high). 8. The Cadillac CTS – It is so remarkable how Cadillac has come up with such a unique design pattern for it’s vehicles. This latest model is very sharp and bold. It is my last choice strictly because I could never see myself in this car. I recently had a 01 Cadillac Deville and it was very huge. I have always believed Cadillac should only build big cars. I still think this is truly a worthy competitor for the Germans. 7. The Audi A4 - I’m sure I will get some eyes rolling when I put this as number 7, but this is simply my opinion. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this car in terms of it’s exterior design. It is simply and sweet. I still think it’s dated. I would really like to see Audi get this car out of the bubble design. It’s really time for a change. The interior is high quality, but still dated. Now I have driven this car and it is great. Matter of fact if I was going on how it drive alone this would be number 1. 6. The Acura TL – When this car first came out I wanted one so bad and almost got one. The interior is resourceful and simply and the exterior gets straight to the point. On the other hand it’s way to many on the road and it shares to much with the accord. I think it’s a great car, but I would prefer to just buy the accord and save some money. 5. The Lexus IS – The first one was way to small and had a harsh ride compared with other Lexus models. This car has a fantastic interior, but I don’t care for Lexus current design language. 4. The BMW 3 series – Yes, I said it. The car is always been praise for it’s handling and so on, but it never has grown on me. I truly appreciate the car from an engineering stand point. I have driven this car and it really didn’t seem all that to be number 1 in everything as the magazines claim. The hype alone is unreasonable. Sure it’s a great car, but there are better cars in this segment. Yes, I said it. 3. The Lincoln MKZ – Lincoln, Lincoln, Lincoln I’ve been thinking. This car was a big surprise to me. I was shocked that Lincoln cut the LS, but this is a nice improvement. In person the car is a beauty. The interior is very unique to this segment. Some love it and some hate it, but it’s Lincoln through and through. Unlike several of you, I can appreciate vehicles that aren’t German. Even though I like the Concept better, this is still a great car. It just needs more power. 2. The Mercedes-Benz C-class – God knows I love Mercedes-Benz. This is truly ten times the sedan the previous model was. I love the face that it has two different styles. I am very interested in the C63 AMG. But again, when it comes to Benz nothing else will do, but my S-class. The Big Benzes is what attracts me to Mercedes-Benz. That is the only fault I have with this car. 1. The Infiniti G35 – Infiniti has come a long way. I remember the G20 was so pathetic and useless. The G35 erase that memory. It started to take multiple awards away from the Germans as soon as it was introduced. This car is one of the BEST values out there and that is no opinion. It has offered the same amount of equipment and drive as the Germans. The technology is very close to that of the Germans as well. The new one still favors the old one, but the improvements make up for that. This car has beat the previous 3 series in several magazine article and it’s about time. I have driven this car and it is a complete dream. I truly love this vehicle. No it’s very unfortunate that people don’t see past the symbol and will vote for the Germans as usual. I might even be the only one to cast my vote for this car, but it is worth so much more. ![]()

Re: *Little Sedan BATTLE* (C-class, A4, 3 series...)! I can't really say much about a few of these cars seeing as they aren't on sale in the uk! 1. I voted BMW 3er, because it's the best drivers car, has got excellent engines such as the 335i and d versions. Also with the M pack, it looks very aggressive. 2. The MB C class, this didn't get first place because I don't really like the interior, the exterior looks amazing though. 3. Lexus IS, if this was a better drivers car it would be further up the list, I love the design, and build quality is excellent. If only us in the UK, got the 300bhp engine! 4. The Audi A4, the reason it's so low down is it's coming to the end of it's life. Still a very good looking car, especially with the S line, and RS bodykits!

Re: *Little Sedan BATTLE* (C-class, A4, 3 series...)! I voted for the 3er - but only just - by virtue of its superior engine range at the moment. In typical MB fashion the new C-Class (which I think is better looking and has the nicer interior) was launched with pretty much the current engine line up, barring a few power tweaks here and there... The 1.8 litre supercharged engines are rough, whiney and noisey - quite unbecoming of the three pointed star. The diesels are competitive though not in the league of the BMW's fabulous three oil-burners in the 320d, 330d and 335d. But wait... the rumour mill bodes for new 2.0 litre turbo petrol engines for 2008 and the new CGI direct injection V6's are on the cards too... A C350 CGI is a delicious prospect in isolation alone. Oh and then there's the little matter of shoehorning a 6.2 litre V8 into Merc's smallest sedan and coupling this with the best conventional automatic transmission around. That starts to even things out.
