Big Sedan BATTLE! (BMW, Bentley, Benz...etc.)

I did a similar thread to this sometime ago, but I never included the Bentley. Normally the Bentley sits higher then the rest of the sedans, but a buyer would probably consider some of the V12 Germans vehicles as well. Also with the new Lexus and updated Jaguar, I thought this will be a great poll.

In not thinking of status or German loyalty, which vehicle could you see yourself in the near future (if not now)?

Also intead of just voting and leaving, please give a detail reason why you picked the vehicle and what advantage it has over the rest. Of course this is an opinion thread so please don't take anthing seriously.

Re: Big Sedan BATTLE! (BMW, Bentley, Benz...etc.)

My Choice:

Reason: The design is everything I would want in a large vehicle. The design is sophisticated and unique. The technology is very useful and ground breaking. Also the engine is simply more then enough, but it keeps you happy.

Runner up: Jaguar XJ elegant styling and keeps to it's true form with old style luxury in the interior.

Reason for not picking other models: The Bentley is beautiful, but the design is not as detailed as I would like it. Lexus is a good design, but not as involved. BMW is very fun to drive, but ready for style to be updated. Audi has one of the best interiors out there, but the design is simple and to the point.

Re: Big Sedan BATTLE! (BMW, Bentley, Benz...etc.)

If I were in the fortunate position to actually be able to purchase one of these vehicles, I would most definitely go for the A8. There's not that much to separate the bunch in an objective manner, so it's all down to subjective points such as design. On that point, the only one to truly appeal to me - the only one I would not change anything about even if I had the chance - is the Audi.

Here's my entirely subjective rating:
1. Audi
2. Mercedes
3. Jaguar (why, oh why did they have to give it that stupid Cars grin? )
4. Bentley
5. BMW
6. Lexus

I don't think the Bentley really competes with these cars. It's a notch above them. At least that is where I would place it.

Even if you just consider v12 models. Now the Bentley Arnage is a different story.

Re: Big Sedan BATTLE! (BMW, Bentley, Benz...etc.)

Normally, I would jump at the chance to have an LS460, but I'm rethinking my "usual" choice for the Flying Spur. I've seen about ten of these since my move to Vancouver - it strikes me as rather plain, but in a classic "British" sense (oops, I mean German..)

Right now, I'm undecided between the Lexus and the Bentley.

Re: Big Sedan BATTLE! (BMW, Bentley, Benz...etc.)

Nice poll HOH, good to see you here again!

If it was the S600 vs the 760 I would go for the 760.
If it was the S65 vs 760 I would go for S65
Audi....nope, Jaguar....never, Lexus....what???, Bentley....hmmm, it's a shame I dislike that W12 so much

I voted 7er, but should've voted S klasse I think, lol. Can't help my fanboy self here

This is more my style.

1) A8 (Best interior and most visually appealing)IMO
2) S-Class (The most technically advanced car on the planet, and very sexy!)IMO
3) Flying Spur (I can't put my finger on it but I've loved this car from day 1!)
4) LS460 (Possible the most relaxing saloon without spending half a million)IMO
5) 760Li (The reason for the change of direction from Audi and Mercedes, thank you BMW!)IMO
6) Jaguar (For doing their own thing)IMO
