Why in your words is Bentley not winning this poll?
Bro, I rate it 3rd & it was because, Bentley is a class of it's own ...!

Atleast, not the class of rest of competitors, price-tag makes a big difference ...!

Design, mostly. I prefer the Flying Spur to the Conti GT, but I'd still much rather see myself in almost any of the competitors. I feel that the Flying Spur is not a real Bentley as far as the design is concerned. I don't mind the VAG-sourced drivetrain, it's not like many of the Bentleys of old were 100% British either.

Technology- As good as it is, doesn't touch MB, A8 or 7er and even lexus has more.
Presence- This thing lacks the original presence of a Bentley. It has more presence than a Honda accord but it doesn't come close to the Germans or the Lexus.
Features- Technology and features go hand in hand...while this offers excellent luxury it's still below the S-klasse. Doesn't have the same tech as the germans and the lexus so that means it lacks features.

Just because it's a Bentley doesn't mean they can charge a premium for a car that doesn't bring anything new and is very unoriginal.

I might not fully agree with your post but I can understand your position, the only aspect I'm not seeing is your perspective on the Flying Spurs presence. If you feel it doesn't have the same kind of presence as the rest of the Bentley's then fair enough, but it's not suppose to! It cost less than half of most their model range. But when compared to this field even though it wouldn't be my 1st or 2nd choice I can't deny it has much more presence then the rest of the choices imo.

Tech, nope. Presence, nope. Features, certainly not. Design, BINGO! It has all the elegance of a boxcar and a face only a drunken mother could love.

Re: Big Sedan BATTLE! (BMW, Bentley, Benz...etc.)

The Bentley fails in our forum but it is a stunning achievement (in terms of sales) out and about the world... I'd say it failed in GCZ because it simply isn't original enough. We expected to see a baby Arnage, not a VAG car.

Re: Big Sedan BATTLE! (BMW, Bentley, Benz...etc.)

Well, I am sorry but I simply cannot agree that the FS is last in this list. It is definitely superior to all but [possibly] one vehicle on the list. Sure, its appearance might not be everyones cup of tea ...but it is a very fine car nonetheless. Personally, the only car on the list I think is better looking than Flying Spur is the A8. The S class and 7er are no prettier than the Flying Spur to me.

Re: Big Sedan BATTLE! (BMW, Bentley, Benz...etc.)

It is interesting that the people who seem to hate the Bentley with such a passion all seem to be Mercedes fanatics. I know the tri-star can do strange things to your sense of judgment but lets be fair here, the Bentley is not a "pig" as at least three of you have said in the past. That really is a stupid comment. You are entitled to your opinions but lets not loose touch with reality.

I too, would personally choose the S class, but the Bentley offers a very different experience. I also do not think the S class is a great deal better looking; it definitely is more dynamic and sporty, but not vastly better looking IMO.
