Need a camera! (order by Friday)

I am very furious right now. Some hours earlier i recieved a call and they told me that the Kodak V603 i had ordered would just not come. So i am looking for another camera to order by Friday

I am between the Koda V570 and the Canon Ixus 60.

I want the camera to be between 5 and 7 MP and not to cost more than 280-300 eur. If anyone has a suggestion feel free to help!

Re: Need a camera! (order by Friday)

I know the Canon's are very good in general but both my brother and father have V550's and they couldn't be more pleased so I'm afraid I'd have to recommend that one. And the V570 is pretty cool with the dual lens and everything.

Hoppefully someone here has tried them both.

Re: Need a camera! (order by Friday)

I have noticed that the Kodak range has been updated, won't get the new camera by friday!

I don't know how much you can get it for, but something like the Canon IXUS 800IS or 850IS are highly regarded cameras! Also the A710IS is pretty good!

Also the fuji F30, F31fd are very good cameras as well, the best compacts in dark conditions!

Check out this site for more information, can be very helpful:

Re: Need a camera! (order by Friday)

I'll probably be using Canon Digital Ixus 750 in future, together with my Nikon Coolpix 5600. I'd recommend you Canon, build quality is great, functions are perfect, picture quality is also nice...But I've never tried Kodak, so...

BTW, Jeff, what do you think about Digital Ixus 750?

Re: Need a camera! (order by Friday)

Thanks guys but:
1. I don't want a Sony. Everyone and his mother has one...
2. I want a compact digital, and not one with big lenses (and probably good zoom). I want it to be small

Re: Need a camera! (order by Friday)

Try this one - Canon PowerShot A640

Price: $350 USD, you can probably get it less than that.

- 10.0 million effective pixels
- 35-140mm (equiv.) 4x zoom lens
- DIGIC II, iSAPS, 9-Point AiAF, FlexiZone AF/AE
- Digital Tele-Converter and Safety Zoom
- 2.5-inch vari-angle LCD and real-image optical viewfinder
- 21 shooting modes
- 1cm macro mode
- Optional wide and tele converter lenses

Here's the review for this camera: - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER

I have been using Canon over the years and they are very reliable and the colors are just spot-on IMO.

Hope this help.

Re: Need a camera! (order by Friday)

Thanks for the help guys! Hibiki i really appreciate it, but i chose the Canon Ixus 60 over this..

The ixus 60 is smaller and has more style than the above, even those the A640 has better features. But since i want my camera to be nice looking and compact at this momment i prefer the ixus. Sometime in summer i will get a real camera, an SLR

Re: Need a camera! (order by Friday)

Giannis - You are welcome! You can't go wrong with the Canon Ixus 60 either, it's also a very good camera, very compact to carry around with you.

Have fun with your new camera!!!
