Well, I thought this would be a good idea, I am working on rules, essentially all the same as weekly competitions, but...

* all limitations from weekly competitions apply here, i.e. size and editing limitations

EDIT*
* all the winning photos of weekly competitions are automaticaly nominated, photos in the "your best photography" thread or any Photo thread as long as they fall under the general photo comp rules can be nominated

* photos must be nominated by someone other than the person who took the photo (ex. I can not nominate a photo I took myself)


My plan was to have this week for nominating and than the following week(starting on Christmas) there would be a week to vote.

Let me know if you like this idea and if these rules work with you also if there are any changes or new rules you'd like. I was thinking that perhaps limiting a person to nominating a certain number of photos.

If you guys like this idea, I will also make an Automotive Photo thread.

Also the winner of this weeks photo competition would be entered as well.

Well I agree with Zonda that automatically including weekly winners, makes for too many photos, so now you have to nominate them.

On second thought, I like this idea better, All the weekly competition winners will automatically be entered, but members can nominate other photos found in the "your best photography" thread or any other member photography, as long as it follows the rules.

The problem with this is that because there are so many photos that will be entered, finding a winner amongst the lot might be a tad difficult. I suggest letting people nominate a set number (maybe 10 pictures?) and then we can vote from there. But then again, this wouldn't be quite fair to those who didn't get nominated. Hmm...
