Some Photos From Last Friday - Tried a Canon 1D Mark II Hooked up with Ahlgrengraphics last friday who has both a 1D Mark II and a 350D. As I'm soon buying a 350D it was nice to try it out before I bought it and I'm more convinced to to buy it now than before. The Mark II had a 100-400mm lens which was extremly nice. Could shoot detail shots from really far away. I only used it in auto and I didn't explore any of the more advanced settings, just enjoyed my time with it. And the difference between it and the 350D was pretty clear. With the Mark II it was pretty much a matter of finding a good subject and angle, click and you had a perfect shot. While the 350D wasn't really that easy, I had to mind lighting, focus etc a bit more but the pics still turned out great. Even better after some work in Capture One Pro. Here's some pics 1D Mark II: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 350D: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here's Daniel with the 1D Mark II: ![]() I'm not an expert so I can't give a detailed review on the Mark II but if you have any questions just shoot.

Re: Some Photos From Last Friday - Tried a Canon 1D Mark II I think you have very good pictures. Taking a look at the one of the car I noticed that it was a very well taken picture and you caught the cat, I presume strecthing, at a time that it looked as if it was attacking. I may be mistaken in my presumption but that is what I first thought. The Mark is a getting old already but it is still a good camera. I am sure you enjoyed.

Re: Some Photos From Last Friday - Tried a Canon 1D Mark II Yeah, it's stretching. I should ad that some of the Mark II shots are Daniel's, not mine ![]() Oh yeah, I enjoyed it! Was a pretty powerful feeling to hold about $8800 in your hands (if everything was new that is) ![]()
