| Testing VR Alright. I decided do test the Vibration Reduction of the 18-200mm VR lense that I have for all of you to see how effective it is. Both shots are indentical. Shutter: 1/13 F-stop: 5.3 ISO: 1000 Photoshop: Auto Contrast Auto Levels Without VR ![]() With VR ![]() |

| Re: Testing VR Thank you everyone. As AhlgrenGraphics said, this is a must, especially at 200mm like Choleric said. Some camera companies such as Sony in their A100 have embedded the system in their camera. However, Nikon and I think Canon have it on particular lenses such as the one I have. It is a great feature and a must at night and when zooming. |

I'm not sure whether to get a DSLR or not. Before I head to New York on the 13th I have to make a decision. My point & shoot works well but I have a feeling the extra functions in a DSLR will allow me to take better pictures. ![]() I tried to find the thread where you recommended a few beginner cameras but it seems to be lost. | |
