Request for Increase in Size

I would like to request that the 800X600 requirement be shifted up to 1024X768. The difference will not me to much for the user and the quality will not suffer. What we get here though is a better presence.

So, I am asking all of you to reconsider this once again. I want to have this change done, but I am going to put it up to vote. Please take it into consideration.

I don't know what to say! It is kind of unfair to the members with cameras with less mps and worse cameras, but it is OK because of the presence and all...I don't know, I'll see what others will say!

Does any member here have a 2MP camera? First, if people for some reason are taking pictures with their camera phones--not that you said this--they should not be participating, in my opinion, in a photography forum. Second, 4mp and up can deal very well with the up on sizing that I am requesting.

Like I said in another thread, there is a 4.1MP Nikon DSLR which has fantastic pictures and you can push the sizing tremendously before you begin to see pixels and distortion.

The increase will affect the picture little to none. However, it will give a better presense to the competition and more detail will be seen.

You know, Andreas did win a photo comp with a photo he had taken with his phone. I doubt he could've won with this rule.

OK, lets try it in the next photo competition and see if it works OK for all! I'm for it! BTW, we have to decide if photos will be posted like thumbnails or hotlinks?!

I voted yes...a good size to display.

Here is a shot I posted on the W221 Pic thread...it was shot with my S230 at 3.2 megapixels...it is displayed at 1024x768 or 50% of it's full size. The quality is excellent (as is the image...:-)

80mph on the Las Vegas Beltway behind the Three Pointed Star....
