Pics taken with D200

Alright. Today was a bad day, as you will see from the pictures, because it was cloudy.

I am going to post as I process them

Now this one is pretty blinding. This is right out of the camera. No changes.

I like this.

It did not come with a lense. I am using a 28-70mm Nikkor that is my own.

What really got me about the particular shot that you refer to is the fact that I did not alter that image whatsoever. The camera produced that by itself. That is straight from the camera.

Re: Random pics of D200

Nice pictures - very sharp images.

That flower picture is pretty crazy seeing as it has no post-processing, but the colours are just too saturated for my personal liking.

I know why now. I had the vivid setting on when I was taking these pics. That is why this picture came out so VIVID

Excellent quality Michael...that lens is a good one! I see you mention you had it set on Vivid which accounts for the red saturation. I am assuming .jpg but at what setting pixel wise?

Can you shoot RAW with this camera...I am guessing yes. I would like to see some shot in RAW with no parameters (camera fixes) and then PP to see the result. I shoot RAW with a Medium quality .jpg at the same time with some camera fixes so they can be emailed or posted quickly without processing the RAW file.

Really nice stuff....

I shot in Large Jpeg Fine.

I will shoot Raw and not alter any images for you.

I really like this camera a lot. You don't understand!

It's excitement. I feel like conveying to you via the internet how much I love this camera is hard. I think it would be better for you to hold it and see for yourself.

I can sense your excitement in your posts Michael...it is another great product from Nikon and if I did not have such an investment in Canon at this point, I could be tempted to try one out...:-) It will only get better as you learn all the ins and outs of it along with that 18-200mm....
