| Re: Le Parkour Photography In Lund (My town) well im a canon guy but why I have canon is because of the lenses, Nikon canīt compare to them, sure they cost but they are the best so thats why, I bought the Mark II because I needed a fast camera, so thats all. But mainly its not the camera that does the most, its the lens.![]() |

I understand where you are coming from but I cannot agree completely. Canon does not make the best lenses and neither does Nikon. They both make very good lenses. Some may be better than others and vice versa. I think overall Canon is great. The reason why I don't have a 400D is primarily because of the fact that I don't like the small fit--something you don't see with the bigger Canon's. In picking a camera I looked at the D80, D200, and 30D. I picked the D200 for many reasons but I won't go into that. You are right that the lenses is ultimately what makes the camrea, however, the camera can help. You take for instance the D70 which is a 6 megapixel camera and you give it a 17-55mm lense (very sharp and fast) you realize that the lense is not limiting the picture but rather the camera. So, in the end the lense is what does the magic, but if you don't have a camera to offer anything for the lense to work with, then you are really stuck IMO. Very nice camera. I read about a rumour that Canon is working on a 22 megapixel CMOS sensor for the next big boy. By the way, the pictures that you shot in the first page of this thread. What were they taken at? What ISO? I see a little bit of noise. | |
