Automotive Photo Comp #55 *Voting*

Good luck!

Please take note, next's week competition will endure a slight change as we plan on making the voting choices by picture name, rather than by the individual who took the picture (thanks to Alok for bringing this to our attention). So then, starting next week, it'd be great if you guys could include some sort of title for each and every picture entered.

Thanks.

Re: Automotive Photo Comp #55 *Voting*

I had to choose between Bruce, Vanq and Christian...

I'll try to justify my vote:

I like the contrast between the dark bodywork and the chromed (?) addenda in Bruce's picture... very nice black-on-white picture overall , but I think the framing could have been a little bit better (e.g. taking the picture more from the left side, so you have the nice Porsche sign with two menacing Cayenne front fascias? Just my 50 cents... )

Vanq's car setup is quite impressive, really like how he puts all the attention on the Lotus only using its light color and the perspective. However, in my opinion the sky is a little overexposed while the underside of the cars are a little underexposed... But maybe this was Vanq's intention, in order to have a maximal contrast between the tarmac and the Lotus/white characters 'POINT X'. I can imagine how difficult it is to take this picture with perfect illumination settings, and I think it worked out really great

But in the end, my vote went to Christian. The composition is interesting to look at, the low sun provides some really nice shadows which give the picture that little something extra.
