According to that article BMW will take part in the Dakar rally with 22 X3s, X5s and and F650GS.

So anyone planning on watching the coverage this year? It looks like OLN recieved the rights this year and unfortunately it looks like they will cover each segment in 30 minutes. I feel there will be a big fight between the three big Germans. Though, I wonder why Audi isn't there with their new Q7, would make good publicity.

They will not compete as "BMW team" but they will support another team "X-raid".
