| Re: VW Jetta TDI in SPEED World Challenge Can you really entrust any credence upon the judgement of a man who for whatever unknow reason, he could not fathom the W button on the Golf GT TSI stands for the Winter Program? Seriously, I lost my respect for Clarkson after I read his review on the Golf GT. Ah yes the Jetta. Well, as I stated in another thread, I've always liked the booted versions of the Golf. The Bora is my favorite out of all the other Golf Saloons. ![]() ![]() What Jeremy Clarkson reckons the new Jetta is boring. I reckon it is understated - the Jetta Sport 2.0 16V Turbo with a DSG gearbox is a Golf GTI without the image and a bigger boot. Tell me which other Compact Saloon looks this Classy? ![]() ![]() I tell you: Not many! P.S: The W button on the Golf GT stands for the Winter Program, which reduces power and torque in 1st and 2nd gear. Since he did not have a clue what the button did I think we can assume that he drove around in "W" mode all the time, hence the poor performance and jerkiness. |
