He is a true Aussie legend, although he can be annonying at times, he is an excellent entertainer, and he has massive enthusiasm for the wildlife and the protection of them. True aussie icon, i am too sad to type on

i just saw this on the news..man its really sad.. me and my friends used to joke that he is to wild..these animals will kill him someday..
but thats no fun anymore.. he will be missed..

and i hope his family can find peace...

I always thought a snake or a crocodile would kill him.

I thought he was eaten alive by a crocodile as well, but it wasn't the case. The docotr said his injury was rather unsual.

WOW! I'm so sorry to hear this! I used to watch this guy on TV! There aren't so many people like he was today, I'm so sorry!

I came back today from vacation and when the ship docked I put on the tv and was able to see the sad news. I have swam with Sting rays many many times and have never had a problem. When I heard of this I was so suprised. Poor guy, really. He was a great person in which he would try to help animals by not only saving them but by educating people. Truly, it is a sad thing to see him go, especially in such a trafic way.

Yeah, sad to see him go. He was a bit of a weird one, as people aren't really like that in Australia, but behind all the showmanship, he really cared about the animals.

Still, I guess he died doing what he loved most, being with wildlife. Perhaps ironic that it was one of the things he loved that killed him, though probably not through any fault of its own, or his.

Rest in peace, and condolences to his family..
