Hey guys , i missed the other thread that was closed , I dont know if you guys know this but my brother MOSS and my wife left on sunday of the last week before the war started , I am kinda worried , i have a lot of familly members there ........

BTW, I have no idea why the other thread was closed when the crisis in Lebanon is escalating daily.

I think the other thread could have been closed because all that there was to be said, was said.. and perhaps to prevent things escalating between forum members.

ALI, I think we all wish for your family and friends to be safe and have this war end as soon as possible. Keep in touch with them as much as you can. Where in Lebanon are the majority of them?

BTW , I would like share something of whats going on in Lebanon ... for starters , CNN and western channels seem to be showing whatever they like to show , anyways , channels like aljazeera , al-alam , future tv , and other arabic channels give you 100% coverage 24-7 ..... First it was said that ISRAEL attacked Lebanon because Hizballah kidnapped two israeli troops , but there was a reason for such an act , Israel has many over 100 Lebanese civilians locked up 4 nothing , Hizballah thought this would be the best way to negotiate , trading prisoners !!

Meanwhile , many sources found out that israel had been planning on attacking Lebanon for two weeks before the war went on ...

Anyhow , the answer to why Hizballah troops protect Lebanon and not the Lebanese army goes back to 1978 , when Israel had seised the hole south of Lebanon including Beirut , Lebanon's Millitey was too weak and didnt stand a chance against their enemy , so a group of muslim shiis gathered up and faught against israel in 1982 , they succeeded and made them retreat to the south of Lebanon , year after year and after a long 18 years of war , in 2000 , Israel decided it was best to leave south Lebanon , so they gathered their troops and left the South .........

So after Israel left Lebanon , many started saying there was no need for hizballah anymore (BUSH was the first one to make the comment) so lots of people started talking , and as you see today , there is a war in Lebanon , and Israel would have taken away our country if it werent for Hizballah , and as usual , the Lebanese civilians are on their side and support them even if they had to die .....

Now i dont know if protecting your hometown from enemies is considered terrorism , but BUSH and most of the west civilisation politics say they are , so that's why the media west media shows whatever it takes to convince people that they are , in Lebanon , they are heroes , and that's what matters ......


Ill only tell u one thing , IMO Israel is that true terrorist here , they've killed tons of innocent lives already .....
