Re: Klinsmann Quits as German Coach This is quite bad, he is a great coach and with that young great team they could've gone far together. Maybe their future won't be as good with a different coach.

Re: Klinsmann Quits as German Coach Very suprising but only time will tell if the rumor about him becoming the coach for the US soccer team is true.

Re: Klinsmann Quits as German Coach This is terrible! This is like a knife in the heart of Germany. I suppose this isn't a huge surprise. We wanted to will Klinsi into staying, but the reality is that he's got a wife and kids in California, and becoming Nationaltrainer would put extreme stress on his personal life. The good news is that potential trainers might not be so timid about taking on the position knowing that the squad has great promise.

Re: Klinsmann Quits as German Coach USA Soccer will pay him more. He never earned the huge wages as a player, certainly not when compared to today's standards. It's easier for him to be US Coach. Too bad Guus Hiddinck is taking the Russia job. Maybe Sven Goran is available at a salary 300, 400% higher than anyone else!
