Post How you came to be here?

Hey guys (and women) ,

I was thinking it would be interesting to have a thread telling everyone how you found out about this forum and from where! For the guys that come from German Car Fans, tell us how you found out about that site, and how long you were a member there!

Now don't be shy people!

BTW, I was thinking it would be interesting to hear for the many people who visit this forum and are members but never post, please do!

Re: How you came to be here?

Dominix and I hung out at the same forum and he told me about this place. I know a few people who hang out here and love it but never post. I'll see if I can get them to post.

Isn't this thread a bit like the "How long..."(don't remember the name) thread?

Re: How you came to be here?

I think I found GCF while looking for pictures of the then radical 7 Series. I stumbled upon it and found my sweet addiction: forums. Never left since.

Re: How you came to be here?

You can thank (or curse) Google for having me here. Many of my car-related searches yielded GCF as a result, and eventually I found out that the forum there was one of the best sources of information and pictures related to new cars and a whole lot of other stuff. For a long time I was only reading the posts, but a fiery comment in one of the fanboy wars got my blood boiling so bad that I just had to get involved.

Re: How you came to be here?

Well I too am a GCF refugee.

Much like Mirage77, I googled up spypics of the E60 5er, and one of the first results was at GCF. Once I stumbled upon the forum section I became an avid reader but had not yet become a member. I too felt like I didn't have the knowledge, nor the vocabularly to post with such a bunch of GCFer's...but reading more and more, and realising that most members were very friendly and from all parts of the world, I felt confident enough to begin posting. It took a few months though till I actually registered... ...and since then I haven't looked back.

Still learn something new everytime I come here (which is everyday).

Re: How you came to be here?

Stumbled upon the GCF forum while looking for pictures of the new M-Class. I just thought I'd give it a try to see what comes up when I look up pictures of the next generation M-Class, and I was really surprised to see spy shots of it.
