| It has been a while It’s been quite a while since my last post. The long absence definitely had nothing to do with this forum which I love respect by the way. I was on vacation for most part of October only for me to return to address a host of issues back at home. I had to deal with getting a house as the person I am renting from wants to return to the house, and then there is the aspect of the job which you have to catch up with after three weeks absence. Well we have finally gotten a place this week and will start moving by the first of next month- I dread the moving part. Something else that happened, I finally ordered the X5 for the wife. I was one of the few that actually wished to have the N54 engine in the 2008 model, and when that didn’t happen I was disappointed. I looked at the alternatives: Porsche Cayenne or the Audi Q7 but for some bizarre reason my wife will have none of these hence the X5. X5 3.0 by my assessment was underpowered so I went against my earlier decision and decided to go with the 4.8i. The other bright side is that if my wife gets the 4.8i, then she won’t complain about my getting the M3 saloon next year We will be picking up the new car this week Friday based on the dealer's estimated arrival date. I will post pictures once we take reception of it. |

| Re: It has been a while Thanks for the update chonkoa! I hope you had a great vacation. So, congratulations to the new car. I think, the X5 is one of the best looking cars in this segment and the 4.8i is just a monster... |
