| I'm back. At last... Well guys, i hope you remember me. If i recall correctly the last time i visited GCZ should be around 5-10 October. Now what was i doing during all that time away? Let's start: At first my old internet connection dies (go figure). Then my computer died, but this is because of me. I got a new Computer, a 1600eur Toshiba laptop, which refuses to accept the fact that after each word i press space, and most words come up gluedtogether... Then i upgraded to a Broadband internet connection (finaly), but even though i paid for a 1Mb one, i am still connected at 768kbps. I have a strange feeling that if i upgrade to 2Mb, i will actually return to my old 64ISDN speed... Other than that, from the day i connected the new modem my phones are down, except the one next to my bed, on my side... Still the telephone company hasn't fixed the problem. Well, this is the major reason why i was away all that time. Other than that, i decided that it's better to spend my night going from one bar to another and from nightclub A to bouzoukia B. So even less time for GCZ, but eventually $$ is over Spend days are over: The Polo plans are postponed even further, because a) i installed a new Bilstein set of springs on my fiance's 206 and it's now going like hell and b) because we decided to get rid of the 206 and buy a MINI Cooper or a BMW 118i. Or i could keep the 206 as a replacement to the Clio and also get her a new car. (No way!) Moreover, i continued decorating my house. This month, i finally made my office/study room look like a room and not like my room when i was in univercity. I also got a new 32' LCD Sony TV. Not that anybody cares about, but anyway. As to the question, how was your everyday life without GCZ, i have to say one thing. I missed you guys, but i did some driving experiments i always wanted to do. One was live one week without using a car at all. Only public transport and feet. Well guys it's terrible. For Christ's sake there is not a single reason to do it. Second i drove in the city-centre at 3am like crazy with both the S60 and the Clio to figure which one is more fun downtown when the city is empty. The answer is the 206. The Volvo is big and i hate the steering system. It's like steering with the steering wheel and holding the rear view mirror... That connection you have to the road... The Clio is underpowered and old. So end of the test. Other than that, i hate myself for doing and saying it, but this time i have violated rules 1,2 & 3 of Automotive Law. Don' t eat in car. Don't drink in car. Don't drink and drive. Well i did them, and it was very practical, but my car still smells beer... About my job. I still like it (my dad bored after 2 weeks in this profession), but it is very very tiring. I either will hire somebody to massage me or quit, steal a bank and rest in Hawai for the rest of my life. Or Fitzi. Or those other island that i don't know how they are called in english. But anyway. I can't. Family life? Like always. She wants us to get married, i say that the engagement happend to early. We should have wait another 50 years... That's what my friends, my barman and even the cleaning's lady says to me. But anyway. It's too late. Next month we will go for ski. (Obviously with dads XC90) Now that i mentioned, on 28 Oct that is a national celebration day, i took dad's SUV and i had a great off road experience with some friend on Panachaiko mountain. Worth all the euros i paid for premium fuel! PS. I just realised that i am writing my life story. So, since i am kinda tired, i say that i am glad to be back to my normal (intenet) every-day routine. Nice to be back, and please tell me if i missed any importand incident (a ban for example ) and please inform me of any sagnificant news i missed!nice to be back Giannis ![]() |
