HELP! My YouTube account is in Dutch!

So today I visit my YouTube account and the language and settings have changed into Dutch for some reason. I didn't do anything to even get this.

My question is, did these idiots at YouTube see that I am "Deutsch" (German) and therefore decide to do me a favor by changing the language into "Dutch"? ***!?

It's annoying as hell. I am trying to find the options to help me change the language back into English, but I can't find anything. Dutch people have an easier time understanding and reading German, but it's harder for us to read and understand Dutch...

Stupid YouTube!

Ahh, Dutch. There's nothing like a language which sounds like you're coughing up phlegm all the time (no offence to our Dutch members).

As to your problem - I'd try clearing all cookies. I can't find a language selection anywhere on YouTube and the help feature there isn't much help at all. Luckily my account is still in English - I absolutely hate "localized" services on the internet.

If I'm correct there is a little Dutch flag appearing on your YouTube page on the top righthand corner. It's located next to the "log out / uitloggen" link.

Quote:

"Site: ===Dutchflag==="

Click on the flag and change it to "Wereldwijd", which means global. It should appear to be the top option.
After you've done that, your YouTube should be switched back to English.

Strange stuff Chris.

Perhaps this is related...

Just got notification of someone who commented on one of my video's and do take note of the "Servizio YouTube". That's the only part of the email that's strange though; the rest of the email is in English (as it's my default language). Nevertheless, I know for a fact that it should say "Service YouTube" rather than "Servizio YouTube" - afterall, I didn't set my YT account with Italian language.

Stranger still, when I login into my YT account it's all fine.
