May be but i don't think that it will the Super Mega Bomb that always Killed the comptetion that it used to be, now there's a lot of very good motorsport simulation games on consoles & pc, added to that the gap between GT5 & GT4 won't be as big as between GT3 and GT2.

There might be good games on the PC but believe me, there is absolutely nothing that touches Gran Turismo on the console. As for the jump from GT4 to GT5...have you seen the new gameplay videos? This GT5 prologue isn't really GT5, it's just a Semi-demo. GT5 is still a work in progress. GT series trump all when it comes to the most realistic physics. The only complain that people have always had is the lack of damage, but that will be sorted out in GT5.

It's Maybe a Prolog version but the most important (for a motorsport simulation game) thing will remain and it's the physical engine, the true GT5 will offer tons of additional tracks & cars & maybe additional modes but the Gameplay won't change between a full and prologue version. As for the evolution of the series, i would say that there was a big jump between the GT2 and GT3 but after that the evolution become more optimisation (for the gampelay), just like what happened to the GTA serie

you are right about the jump from gt2 to gt3. Honestly, there will definitely be huge bump in this one. I honestly think besides the graphics, the main thing that is making this game huge is the physics involved. With the Cell processor they're able to do a lot more physics calculations then they were previously able to do. It's not going to be 100% true to life, but as far as most games I've played, the GT series has the best physics available.

Gt Legends physical engine is a bit more performant than GT4, hope Gt5 will be better.

Looks like they got licensing rights from Ferrari. Wonder if they got the rights for Porsche too or still just limited to Ruff.
