I use "re" - ex. centre, theatre

Also use favourite..

My favourite letter ZED at the centre of the theatre is painted with the colour black! Same as the colour of my half-metre wide tyres!

I prefer the "Queen's English" way of spelling and pronunciation.

However from a logical point of view there's no rational reason for Z to be pronounced as "Zed". After all:

Bee, Cee, Dee, Ee, Gee, Pee, Tee, Vee

Where's the pattern with "Zed"? "Zee" fits the pattern more logically. Or would you rather have...
Bed, Ced, Ded, Ed, Ged, Ped, Ted and Ved?

Pfff...
