1: A phone with better packaging or features for $400. 2: A multimedia player/device with more than 16GB of flash memory.

| Re: New iPod Touch IMO the new iPod Touch is a quite nice thingy for gadgeteers. I think that it will be available with a capacity of 32 and 64 GB in 2008 (since some of the upcoming Mac notebooks are obviously equipped with the same flash memory). Owning more than 2,000 albums, the iPod Classic seems the best solution for me. But I'll go for the iPhone when it comes out in my country (hopefully soon). Too bad that it doesn't support UMTS. I understand people claiming that Apple products are expensive (...) but they're not rubbish (except the iBook G4). Try 'em (and the competitors) before you judge them. Don't ask me why ... but I've never ever loved technical gadgets more than my iPods oder my Macs (and I also own two Windows-notebooks and a Windows Mobile-powered HTC phone). |

As for the memory, the fact it has flash memory doesn't do shit for me, the point is that it's only 16 gig, I have 17 gig on my 30 gig ipod at the moment, it's not enough and that's that.

2. 16 gigs ain't sh!t. I have about 15gigs alone for just Indian music, now that leaves me with about 20 more with the rest of the stuff. Do the math and thats about 26 gigs of music that I've actually backed up. While you like to challenge people on things, the Archos605 might not be as pretty as the ipod touch, it has everything else. Check it out sometimes, you'll be surprised to see how much stuff is out there that apple didn't invent but rather just improved on. ![]()

| Re: New iPod Touch HTC Skin: - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER Nothing about the WM6 HTC P4350 is "miles ahead" unless you're a business user who needs to edit MS Office docs on the go and need push email from Exchange and loves to point at things with a stylus. I think it's a nicely equipped phone, but to say that this is miles ahead of the iPhone is to say that your Apple rocks all over my Orange. Naruto - If you think the BlackBerry Pearl is in league with the iPhone just because it has convergence phone features I have a bridge to sell you in New York. I wish I didn't open the can of "Compare the Phones" worms, because this argument has been replicated one million times on the internet and never goes anywhere. But to say that the iPhone is "rubbish" or "worthles" is a joke. Nearly one million have sold note because it's an expensive fashion toy, but because it's gotten universally positive reviews from technology journalists and users alike. |

| Re: New iPod Touch If and when the Iphone comes to Africa, i'll definitely get one. For $300 its actually well priced considering thats how much i paid for my Nokia N73 which has nothing much to boast about besides it 3.2 MP camera. The only crap thing bout the Ipod Touch is the memory. With such a big crisp screen, its obvious most ppl will want to watch movies on it and 16GB's just wont cut it. Though im sure 6 months down the line we'll have a 60BG or so available. btw, does the new 160GB ipod classic also use a flash disk or HD? |
