I know we have a few forum members from there, so I was wondering if there was any way to explain why he is so big there. Maybe I got the country wrong, it could be Finland or something like that, but I don't remember. Oh well, here goes anyway.

I'm not saying the guy isn't funny (the show is usually great), I'm just curious about this. He's a hell of a lot better than that joke Jay Leno, that's for sure.

One of the funniest memories I have of the show was a celebrity survey where the sentence went "It's hard to get up out of bed in the morning when..." They had the usual normal responses from various celebrities, but then it went to Star Jones and the response was something like the following: "when one of the pullies is broken."

I didnt know he was popular. I 've seen only one or two shows and thats it.

And to answer your question, I don't really know. Perhaps it's because most nights there's little else on that would appeal to the target audience.

Okay yeah I thought it was Finland. I'm not sure what made me think of Sweden since then, though.

Well, being confused with Sweden is nothing new to us Finns...

Anyways, I think the bits Conan's done on Finland are quite funny but the response here has been somewhat over-the-top... Now he's supposedly coming to Finland, which should make for hilarious watching.
