What should I see in Dubai with three days?

Hey guys.

I'm heading over to Dubai for a short getaway holiday and I'm clueless about where I should be heading!

Can anyone living there tell me what's good to see? We're renting a car and driving by ourselves... How's the weather like and what should we expect?

I'm leaving tomorrow so please hurry with your replies!

Thanks everyone!

Re: What should I see in Dubai with three days?

Oh i just saw the thread .. been away for a while but now im here. Well, weather is becoming abit better now average today was 28 Celsius.

What should you see?? for three days your gonna have a tight schedule I guess. Ill list a couple of places you can visit.

1- Mall of the Emirates. (shopping mall)
2-Deira City Centre. (shopping mall).
3- Burj Al Arab. (7 star hotel)
4- Madinat Jumeira (resort+mall reflecting arabian heritage)
5- Heritage Village.(reflects how our ancestors used to live in the old days. Before oil discovery.)
6- Dubai Museum.
7- Wild Wadi (water theme park)
8- Dubai Marina (largest man-made marina)
9- Gold Souk

You can ask about other shopping malls since this place is full of em. Tell me where are you staying?

Sorry bout the small list. These are the places i can come up with now.

EDIT: Restaurants:

Amwaj in Shangri-La on Sheikh Zayed Road. (Seafood fine dining)
Johnny Rockets in Jumeira Road. (American fast food diner.)

More to come once i think of places to go

Ahmed, is Ski Dubai opened yet?
I know it suffered many delays, I saw a program on it last night on the Discovery Channel. Amazing how they built it.
What about the Palm, can you visit it yet?

I havent been to Ski Dubai, funny your asking cuz I was going to go take a look today but didnt. I heard its open for business. But then I read an article its opening next week or so. Should take a look. Ive never visited the Palm, I know some ppl did. I think its worth checking out if they would let ppl visit it. I know they used to but I dunno if its still ok.

Re: What should I see in Dubai with three days?

When my brother was in Dubai, he said they charged like $200 to visit Burj Al Arab and you couldn't take pictures. My guess it's the same with the Palm. I think it's worth the money.

Re: What should I see in Dubai with three days?

There was no way we were going to pay that much just to see a Hotel. Thought it would be much better to use the money for shopping...which there is soooooo much of in Dubai.
