Banned car commercials

These two car commercials shown in Australia and New Zealand, were banned for being socially irresponsible.

Banned? That is absolutely nonsense, the government banned these?

Socially irresponsible...my arse, gah, this sort of stuff really strikes a nerve.

Re: Banned car commercials

The first one is okay, but the second one is great! Think War of the Roses.

And, I think having these banned is a little bit of an overreaction, really. Are they really that worried that toddlers will try to steal their parents' Santa Fe after seeing this? Unbelieveable!

Okay, I think I have a good sense of humour but I draw the line at harming animals.

Re: Banned car commercials

When I used to work for Ford's customer service division, we used to get all kinds of letters about the SportKa commercials...and, the bloody car wasn't even sold in North America.

Re: Banned car commercials

I am sorry but the one with the cat is absolutely hilarious, I couldn't stop laughing.

anyways it seems that anything with homosexual vibes in it is being pulled, Don't know if it is out of sensitivity or fear but here is another more recent one from the Superbowl, that was pulled.
