Well boys, I'm moving provinces. Me and my dad are both relocating to Vancouver, British Columbia from Calgary, Alberta.

700 Mile trip, 2 days to get there. Moving to British Columbia won't be a complete culture shock for this Albertan, as I previously lived in BC before, as well as Washington state. The rainy winters, humidified tempatures and watershore living isn't new to me



The final move will be carried out a few days before March 1st, as a result I will be offline for at least a week (maybe earlier if I'm lucky ) Until then, you can expect me online for a good deal time However, some where from the 19th to the 23rd I'll be offline for at least 2 days.

As for my location - We'll be looking to get an apartment in this general location (Area's included - False Creek, Coal Harbour, Marine Drive, GranVille Island)

Lol, If I want snow I'll go to Whistler or Grouse Mountain. When it does snow in Vancouver it's the wet heavy stuff that makes driving a nightmare.

In 2000 I lived in Vancouver 4 days out of the week for 8 months. I had the time of my life there. It is positively one of the greatest spots on this earth. I had a corporate apartment on the corner of Denman and Robson at the West End close to Stanley Park. Therefore I am partial to that part of the town. I particularly enjoyed the overwhelming variety of restaurants of different ethnic origins that were side by side especially on Denman Street. Of course Vancouver is full of fantastic restaurants. I enjoyed the French ones the best. Also used to frequent spots on Granville Street like Roxy's, and other spots in town that I better leave unnamed.

I am afraid that once you get into the swing of things there your posting rate might suffer since you'll be otherwise occupied...

That's great information, Olli. Thanks! There lots to do there, plus you can drop down to Seattle easily or back to Calgary.
