hi,
I'm gonna buy a new TV. I currently have a crappy small one, and I feem it's time to go a bit bigger. I'm looking for a LCD Flat screen, propably Sony or Samsung. As I'm still a student, it will most likely be a 26", depending on the price. My budget is between €500 and €700. I've been asking arround and maybe I can get some discounts somewhere from people I know. Can any of you guys give me advice? on brand, screen, ...

Olevia and Westinghouse are good brands as well, and IMO give more "bang-for-the-buck."

Here are a few good internet sites that sell them, although I don't know if they ship to Europe.

You should check out Sumsung's 26 inch screens, they are exellent. You should be able to find one for just below 700 euro.

Here is a list of the best models in 26 inches:

Sony 26S2030
Sharp 26SD1E
Samsung LE-26R71B

You will be able to find those three between 700-800 euro.

Since I have no spine, I bought my tv today. I went for the samsung, nice 27" tv, great price, with all the discounts I paid €545, which I believe is a good deal.

well, now I've got the tv, I was wondering, any of you guys have a samsung? I'm looking for the right settings for the screen. I'm constantly changing stuff, depending on the movie or dvd. Any of you guys know good settings?
