Nissan to unveil 2009 Maxima at New York show ![]() Nissan has announced that it will not hold a press conference next week at the North American International Auto Show, and has no big plan for the Chicago show either. Instead, Nissan is focusing on the New York Auto Show in March. Nissan plans to unveil its all-new 2009 Maxima sedan at the New York show. "We'll show the next Maxima in New York and a couple of other things — but not concepts," Nissan North America spokesman Darryll Harrison told Inside Line. Harrison failed to give any details on the Maxima — or on what other vehicles to expect at the show — but it is known that the next-generation Maxima will have a diesel engine option. It has also been reported that the 2009 Maxima will take on a four-door coupe body style, similar to the Mercedes CLS. The Maxima's last overhaul was in 2004. Source: LLN

Re: Nissan to unveil 2009 Maxima at New York show Looking good. The current Maxima isn't doing too well, despite having a world class engine, unique exterior and interior styling, and a very comfortable interior, it isn't selling well at all. Hopefully the new generation will do well because I am a fan of the car.

Re: Nissan to unveil 2009 Maxima at New York show New York Preview: Nissan Teases Us With Maxima's New Look The four-door sports car returns! After years without the moniker, the Nissan Maxima will once again wear a "4DSC" sticker in each rear window. That is, at least according to these teaser photos that have been released prior to the new car's unveiling at the New York show next week. What else can we draw from these photos? Well, the dramatic wavy headlight housings seem to resemble the renderings we've seen of the next Z-car this week, indicating that the shape will be a big part of the brand's future. And those wheels--they look big. A tire size can't be made out, but we're guessing they'll be nineteen-inchers. Other than that, we'll have to wait until next week to see just what's in store for Nissan's new flagship. - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER
