Movie/Netflix reviews Well, I got a Netflix subscription for christmas from my brother, so i figured I'd give a very concise review about the movies I get (probably just a #/10). For those of you who don't know what netflix is, its basically a moving renting service via internet and U.S. mail - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER, I get three movies in the mail, I watch them then send them back and than the next day I get three more that are on my list. Feel free to ask more about a movie that I list, because these are going to be VERY short reviews. To catch up: The Crow 3/10 Very boring, and predictable. Not interesting. Rushmore 8/10 Smart humor, a good Bill Murray film Trainspotting 8/10 Very intersting and entertaing movie. Almost Famous 8/10 Appealed to me, don't know what it was about it but really like it The Machinest 6/10 Just freakin wierd man Beerfest 6/10 Good dumb comedy Judge Dredd 3/10 horrible movie but I like it for reminiscing American Beauty 9/10 again really apeals to me, Lester Burnham kicks a** The Abyss 7/10 Interesting Contact 7/10 Again, a interesting movie, Kind of long and hokey though... 12 Monkeys 10/10 I really like this movie, very good story, writing and actors... Jarhead 7/10 Pretty decent movie, a modern Full Metal Jacket of sorts, nothing special though. More to come... Last edited by Choleric; 01-13-2007 at 03:39 AM..

Re: My Movie/Netflix reviews I know this is a thread about Jeff's movies but i decided to add some of my own views on some of last year's films. Pirates of the Caribbean 2 6/10 Not as good as the first film, it's a bit over the top and kitsch. Superman Returns 5/10 Storyline fails to make it interesting. Mediocre to say the least. X-Men III 8/10 Intense action , lots of Special FX , good actors and script. Lucky Number Slevin 8/10 Full of suspense and action. Miami Vice 9/10 Unique filming approach , very good performances and original storyline make this movie one of my favorites. Click 3/10 A monotonous movie that fails to make you laugh. Poseidon 5/10 If you have seen the Titanic then skip this movie. Last edited by Yannis; 01-13-2007 at 03:35 AM..

Re: Movie/Netflix reviews The Omen 2/10 - Sorta like being interrupted by a phone call during sex, then having your partner gab on for about an hour while you lie there in naked in bed believing you'll get back to the fun any minute, knowing full well that the moment has passed. Brick 3/10 - Grossly overrated nod to pulpy film noir that features a cast of high school kids who speak dialogue so stilted and obtuse that you'll just give up at the 40 minute mark and watch some reruns of "Hogan Knows Best." Lucky Number Slevin 8/10 - Surprisingly good revenge flick that kept my interest all the way through.

Re: Movie/Netflix reviews Black Dahlia 6/10 - Brian De Palma's Film Noir is almost there but some flaws in the script and rather poor performance from some actors keep it in the average zone.

Re: Movie/Netflix reviews I didn't like Little miss Sunshine either, just was rather bored by the whole thing to be honest. Full Metal Jacket 9/10 Stanley Kubrick at his best Highlander 8/10 A classic, there can be only one. ![]() JFK 8/10 Long, but intruiging, put doubt in my mind. Magnolia 10/10 Again, long, but a stunning movie. Eyes Wide Shut 9/10 Weird

Re: Movie/Netflix reviews Being brief as possible Children of Men 9/10 Found this movie paints a very grim future of the world (actually found it quite depressing) but nonetheless an excellent movie. Silent Hill 3/10 Give me a break... Terrible acting, terrible story... The Hitcher 6/10 A medicore movie at best. Not completely boring, but it wasn't exactly good. Had potential. Scanner Darkly 7/10 Very unique concept. Could have been better in my opinion Hollowman 2 2/10 Ha, Rubbish! Doom 1/10 This is the worst movie I have ever seen. Pathetic attempt at selling a video game, not to mention terrible acting, script, camera work..you name it. Other than that, it was pretty good! Stranger Than Fiction 8/10 Overall a good movie
