I saw the preview for the movie "300" this weekend, and man this looks awesome, I do not know if anyone else saw it but Honestly cannot wait for this film.

Its about the Battle of Thermopylae and its based off the comic book "300". You guys should check it out.

Frank Miller is one of the best in the comic book biz! The comic book was awesome, and I think the movie will rock too.

i stopped watching movies about the greek history. I hate it when people mess up with our history. If you want to make a movie, do it right or do not make it at all!

I hope that the same won't happen with 300!

This happens with most movies where hstory is involved, American history, European history, or World history as a whole. Its just how movies are, they want it to be entertaining so usually the change it a little bit. I think the only way your going to get a completely historically accurate film is if it is a documentury.

Another reason it might happen so often with Greek history is that, not may know the difference or where the seperation of Greek Mythology and Greek History is, so they feel as though they have some creative freedom in interperting it into a film or book.

ok, i agree with you to a limit though. The fact that some b*stard made a movie where Alexander the Great was GAY is not mythology and not history. then *** is it? I call it "money-making procedure"

That's strange since i knew/read that ancient greeks (well ancients, not just greeks) were bi-sexual. Tough from what I've read in some books the movie is very watered down and quite inocent.

Back on topic, this won't be history, nor mythology IMO, but some alternate universe Frank Miller view.

Hint: Dark Night Returns, Sin City

The 300 trailers look good but I hope they could take those "lord of the rings monsters" away from the movie.

Even it's based on a comic book I'd like it to have some realism.
