| Re: The Departed wins BEST PICTURE!! Although The Departed is an OK movie it ain't no special. Yet special enough to win the Oscar. I blame the competition, and the fact described in my second paragraph.  The Departed is one of the worst movies Martin Scorcese has made. It's a bit ironic he s getting Oscar for this one. Looks like the Academy was trying to pay off for not honoring Scorcese before for his masterpieces he did in the past. I'm glad to see Martin got Oscor, but I would rather see him getting it before for some other of his movies. Helen Mirren & Forest Whitaker - both really deserved the Oscar for their roles / casts (Queen Elizabeth II. & Idi Amin).  |

Im sad that pans labyrinth didnt win best foerign movie.. but still it won 3.. plus supporting actor was surprising.. i was hoping for eddie murphy.. the rest was gr8 PS It was about time Scorscese got this award.. its more of a collective for all movies..rather than just for the departed.... atleast it felt that way |
