Burning DVDS

Does anyone here burn or make copies of DVD's they rent or borrow? I was wondering because I tried the other day and I saw that there are encryptions and I can't figure out a way around that.

Re: Burning DVDS

Yes, i do it.

You should try:
CloneDVD
DVD Shink
DVD Decrypter

Off course the best is the first, but it's not very easy to find, like the others. If you have any of those programs let me know, so that i can tell you exactly what you need to do!

PS. I can tell you where to find those apps if you want

Thanks. I actually tried CloneDVD and couldn't get the DVD to work. I tried to burn the DVD on a 4.7GB and play it on my Playstation and nothing happened.

So you're not getting an error message or anything?

It just doesn't work. I put the burned copy into the dvd player and nothing happens. I try pressing play and all and nothing happens.

If I recall well, Playstation (unless modded) does not play back burned media. Just like not every DVD payer will either, they have to support the media. Also, carefull with media types... there's DVD-R & DVD+R, some players support only one of the 2, some all, some none.

There a website that list most DVD players and what they support... it's a good reference when purchasing a player.

Problems is, I lost the link... but i'll try to find it again.
